1. Limit swearing; some is ok, but just remember to keep it civil
2. Do not make this rpg revolve solely around one character; There are other people in this story too
3. Please keep personal issues out of the boards. If you have a problem, bring it to one of the admins through the pm system. If you insist on arguing with someone carry it out on pm or somewhere else. Also just remember that even though a person may not like you through their character to yours, doesn't mean they actually dislike you, the person.
4. Guests may not post their links on this site anywhere outside the guest affiliation board.; Only members may do so. As guest you have no right to come to my site and start spamming and posting your sites anywhere you please. You must become a member and then you may post a link anywhere you want as long as its outside of the story (the Links board, in your sig, your website, the cbox, etc.)
5. Please make a separate account for each of your characters. With multiple characters on one account, it can get confusing as to who is speaking, and pictures fill up the signature quickly. You may have as many accounts as you wish, as long as you can handle all of them.
6. You must make a character profile before posting. Then that sheet will be viewed and assessed by an admin. You may post only once your character has been accepted
7. No super characters. No-one is perfect in any way, shape, or form. Characters must be realistic and cant be super strong, or all knowing, etc. We all have faults so don't make "perfect" characters
8. No controlling other characters. Perhaps the most annoying thing is for someone to say what your character will do; especially if its something you don't want them to do. It is alright to say what a character has done or is in the process of doing as long as they posted it themselves first, but you cannot actually control what they do.
9. Put a bit of effort into your posts. Its understandable to have short posts, say, if you were in the middle of dialogue. But at least show that you care a bit.
10. Respect the admins and your fellow members
11. You may not kill a character unless they allow you to
12. If you decide to quit the rpg, at least bring about a conclusion to your character. Kill them, have them disappear, etc. If you don't, someone will do it for you and you may not like the way they go but if you want to decide your characters fate, you must do it before quitting.
13. In threads, please take other people into consideration. Do not just leave them behind in the storyline. If you continue the plot without at least acknowledging they're there, they will get behind and not know where to post if they even desire to.
14. You must try to be active. Many rpgs go under due to a loss in activity from members. Please get on all accounts at least once a month and preferably post.
15. If you will be gone for an extended period of time, please post under the gone board. This alerts others to your absence and keeps me from deleting your character if youre gone for too long. Also try to wrap up your characters doings for while you are gone so that threads dont die. That can hamper the plot and have it go under.
16. Please limit the size and/or amount of pictures in your signature. The admin will inform you if you need to delete or resize some pictures.
17. You can start a new topic anywhere. If nobody replies to that thread withing 3 days though, it will be deleted. Sorry, but threads like that just take up room and if nobody wants to respond they wont.
18. Try to use proper grammar and spelling. Now a few typos and mistakes here and there is no big deal; everybody makes them. But no huge run-ons, weird misspellings, or your own..."creative" words. No lingo or computer talk that's hard to understand for some people.
19. Please make your character and all aspects of them original. Nobody should have the same name as somebody else, and no 1 letter differences. If youre character has powers, please keep them slightly different from everybody else's.
20. When RPing, please use some kind of format. Two that are most common are one: Place all actions in italics and dialogue in plain text and two: Put all dialogue in quotations (" "). Just remain consistant and distinguish between action and dialogue and there shouldnt be a problem. Also remain in third person outside of the dialogue. Indicate anything irrelevant of the plot with parenthesis and/or "ooc:". Dont start long, out of character convos though.
If you break these rules you will receive a warning. Continue to break them and you will be banned from the site.
